The Joint Commission\u2019s Environment of Care (EC) standards require organizations to develop management plans in six functional areas*: <\/p>\n

  4. Fire safety<\/li>\n
  5. Medical equipment<\/li>\n
  6. Utilities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    * An organization is also required to have a written Emergency Operations Plan and a current Statement of Conditions, but these have different parameters than management plans.
